Easy Way of Making Kerala Porotta/Thattukada Porotta/Layered Porotta/Hotel Porotta/ Veesu Porotta

Ingredients-

Maida(all-purpose flour, plain flour) -4 cups

Milk -1 cup

Water -1/2 cup

egg -1

sugar -1 teaspoon

salt -1/2 teaspoon

oil(butter) -200ml


Method- In a mixing bowl take milk, water, egg, sugar, salt and mix well. Add maida and kneed it well for five minutes.

After five minutes add 2 teaspoon oil and kneed it for a few more minutes After kneading keep it aside for 2 hours After 2 hours take the dough and make 12 balls.

Apply oil on the countertop and then make the balls like a sheet using your hand.

Using a pizza cutter cut the sheet without cutting both sides.

Apply enough oil so it will not stick together.

Take it from one side and make a spiral, tucking in the end under the spiral.

After 15 minutes take the spirals and press using your hand.

Cook the porottas using a pan

Add enough oil while cooking After cooking 3 parrotas, tap it from sides to open the layers.
