Homemade Jelabi/Very Easy (Ingredients)

How to make perfect jalebi/traditional bakery jalebi/soft Kerala Jelabi/ easy recipe for beginners


Ingredients Urad Dahl -1/2 a cup

Sugar - 1 1/2 cup

Lemon Juice-1 teaspoon

Water -3/4 cups

plain flour - 2 tablespoon

cardamom - 1/4 tablespoon (crushed)

Red Colour - 1/4 teaspoon

oil - 3/4 cup

Yellow colour- 1/4 teaspoon

ziplock bag - 2 some more water to grind urad dahl


Method---


1.) Soak urad dal about 2 hours, drain the water. Divide it into two portions.

2.)Grind one portion of urad dal using very little water mix it with one tablespoon maida/plain flour and a quarter teaspoon red colour and keep it aside in a ziplock bag. 3.)Grind another portion of urad dal using little water then mix it with one tablespoon maida/plain flour and a quarter teaspoon of yellow colour and keep it aside fill it in a ziplock bag.

4.)Take one and a half cup of sugar in a saucepan and 3/4 cup of water and bring it to boil. When it starts to stick switch off the stove and add one teaspoon lemon juice and a quarter teaspoon cardamom powder and keep it aside.

5.)Make jalebi as shown in the video at 3:33 and put it in the sugar syrup for a few minutes. After a few minutes take the jalebi out of the syrup and the Jalebis are ready to eat!!
